All items listed in SAP with a positive stock figure should have a stock location recorded against it. To check item master records for items with no stock location recorded, please follow the process below:
- Go to Item Master
- Place an asterisk (*) in the item number field
- Click 'Find'
- A list of all items will be presented. Sam needs to ensure that the columns 'In Stock" and "Desc. in Foreign Language' are visible (if these aren't shown, he can select them from the 'Form Settings' icon)
- Then apply a filter to the find results - click on the 'Filter Table' icon
- Choose the filter criteria as below:
- In Stock = Greater Than = 1
- Desc. In Foreign Language = Is Empty
- This list can then be exported to excel, or alternatively he can tick the 'Keep Visible' box at the top of the 'Find' results list and drill directly in to the items to update locations
